Just a few snaps to remind everyone of what a wonderful weekend it was for those who went ....

The shot at the top of the page shows Mike Haine's beautiful new MW6S flying on the Saturday above Cheddar Gorge. It only received it's paperwork on the previous Wednesday, so we were lucky to see it.

The Ted Henman awardIt was glorious weather for the whole time. I personally don't remember quite such good weather before.

This year's winner of the Ted Henman award for services to the MW Club was Eddie Clapham. Being involved with MW aeroplanes for longer than most, Eddie built the prototype MW6 and has flown it all around Europe and even in Russia in microlight competitions. He's won the Round Britain Rally and given over 1000 passengers their first taste of MW flying in this 'prototype' MW6, now affectionately known as 'Mother'.

He must have given countless 100's hours of help and advice to other MW builders. Eddie's account of the story of Mother, is currently appearing in 'Tubular Belles', in serial form. From the first episode, it is clearly not to be missed.

The photo shows him receiving the award from Mike Whittaker (right) at the MW Club AGM on the Saturday.

Kim Wilcox, another long standing MW builder brought his newly finished MW6T to Cheddar for the first time.

This was an aeroplane that flew for a good part of the w/e, with Kim keen to put it through it's paces.

This was taken as Kim left on Sunday afternoon with his son Toby, I'll have to remember to not take aeroplanes 'into the sun' in future!

One of the most hard working guys over the w/e was Chris Wills, continually taking people up to experience flying in an MW for themselves. He flew me twice just to take the air to air shots you can see here, but didn't have time to get one for himself! So here's just a couple from the ground.
