MW6

The MW6 is a two seat version of the MW5. The prototype flew in 1986 in a very basic form due to the then microlight definition which was based on a max empty weight of 150 Kg. The aircraft appears on the front sheet of this publication without a nacelle fairing, it was subsequently developed over the years with a fairing and a variety of different engines. The aircraft then went on to an illustrous career in the hands of Eddie Clapham and Steve Slade.

E Clapham won the two seat three axis class in the European Championship in the Czech Republic in 1993

The aircraft is still flying and has amassed over 1500 hours with no problems.

In its original form the MW6 had tandem seating this was subsequently developed into a side-by -side arrangement in 1989. Both aircraft fully meet Section S.

Over forty MW6 aircraft have now been built and flown.
